Greetings and Welcome to Atlanta

On behalf of your Conference Planning Committee, we are so excited to have you join us for the 18th National Conference in Atlanta.

Although we are meeting virtually, allow us to set the scene for this wonderful conference as if you were arriving at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. As you enter the airport with excitement, you will see your sister friends wearing peach and cream and sporting their Society, Inc. pins at baggage claim.

Join us in our beautiful lobby where everyone will head to their workshops on Thursday morning. What areas will I get more knowledge about during this conference….. Fundraising, Club Express, Marketing or Friendship? Members will enjoy various workshops, as they will run concurrently. A highlight you will not want to miss is the Best Practices panel discussion; which will feature award winning chapter programs.

At the end of your day of learning in the workshops, we will be welcomed in “Artistic Style” with an evening of live music and art hosted by the Atlanta Chapter. Grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the Show!

The business of the organization is vital to the growth, vision and mission of the Society, Inc. We will hear enlightening information from our National President Dr. Gwendolyn Lee and her dynamic Executive Board on Friday morning.

As a special feature during the mid-day hour on Friday, we will experience an Elegant Tea, highlighting our Black Lives Matter Scholarship recipients. Prepare your peach tea, blueberry scones and cucumber-watercress tea sandwiches for this event. We will look forward to seeing your Fantastic Fascinators during the parade of beautiful Chapeaus.

The Society, Inc. is honored to have inducted our Second Society Honorary Friend, World Renowned Artist Johnathan Green. While you dine and sip on tasty items from Mr. Greens birthplace, he will share his artistic story and journey. As a gift, we will see his work come to life with a featured performance by the Columbia Ballet, “Off The Wall and Onto the Stage.”

As our time together begins to wind down on Saturday afternoon, we will be entertained by two of our own, Violinist Chelsey Green and Pianist, Dana Morgan. Chelsey and Dana are members of the Montgomery County, Maryland Chapter and we are excited to have them share their talents with us. We will also look forward to hearing from the Las Vegas Chapter, sharing what fun and exciting things they have in store for our 2023 Conference, hopefully in person.

Ladies of the Society, Inc., pack your bags and get ready for a fabulous 2021 Virtual Conference. See you soon.
